✍️ Minute 1 - Sign your name.

It was three and a half decades later, and Benjamin Rush still had imprinted on his mind the feeling of signing the Declaration of Independence. It's hard to believe anyone in that room forgot it.

"Do you recollect the pensive and awful silence," he wrote to John Adams in his old age, "which pervaded the house when we were called up, one after another, to the table of the President of Congress, to subscribe what was believed by many at that time to be our own death warrants?"

It's only in retrospect that they could have known they would have succeed in birthing a nation that would for centuries.

You live in the United States of America in part because a young man barely our of his twenties hurled himself into the most dangerous experience of his life.

It began by simply signing his name.

πŸ’‘
If you know what will happen it's called certainty. If you don't know, but go anyway, it's called faith. God calls us to live by faith.

πŸ‘€ Minute 2 - The task of believing.

It's scary, but there is no way around it. All growth is a leap in the dark. If you're afraid of that jump, you'll never do something worthwhile. You'll simply be and be gone.

The reward of seeing comes with the task of believing.

Or as the church father Saint Augustine once said,

β€œFaith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.” – Saint Augustine

πŸͺ¨ Minute 3 - You're living a boring life.

Imagine I roll away a large stone and reveal a hole that seems to have no bottom. I tell you with confidence this is the way oyu must go. Do you jump?

Nobody can tell you how far the hole goes. Nobody can confirm that you will make it home or that you will ever be the same. But if it wasn't scary, everyone would do it, and it wouldn't need to be done by you. Would it?

⭐️ Write down the thing you fear.

Your fear is a sign. If courage is never required in your life, you're living a boring life. God didn't design your life to be boring.

Are you read to sign your name? Are you ready to take a leap?
